Who writes it

SponsoredTech is written by SIB, a DevOps engineer working in the UK. SIB is of Sri Lankan origin and has been through UK and Irish visa processes himself, so the site is written from the applicant’s side of the table.

How articles are researched

• Every rule, threshold, fee and date is checked against a primary source, usually GOV.UK, the Immigration Rules, Parliament or the Home Office, on the day of publication.
• Each article lists its sources at the bottom so you can check them yourself.
• Salary figures come from named, linked datasets. We say what the data measures and where it is limited.
• When a rule changes, we update the article and show the update date.
