Who we are

SponsoredTech (https://sponseredtech.co.uk) is run by SIB, who is the data controller for personal data processed through this site. Contact: hello@sponseredtech.co.uk.

What we collect and why

  • Server and security logs. Our hosting and content delivery provider processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to reply and keep a record of corrections. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
  • Advertising cookies. See below. Lawful basis: your consent, where consent is required.

We do not ask for, and do not want, details of your immigration case. Please do not send them.

Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display advertising served by Google AdSense. In that case:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s My Ad Center (Ads Settings). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.
  • Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Visitors in the UK and EEA are shown a consent message before non-essential advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time through the consent settings link on the site or by clearing cookies in your browser. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised ads.

Strictly necessary cookies, where used, are needed for the site to work and do not require consent.

Who we share data with

Hosting and content delivery providers, and advertising partners such as Google, as described above. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

How long we keep data

Server logs are kept by our providers for a limited period in line with their own policies. Emails are kept for up to 24 months unless needed longer for a legal reason.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to access your personal data, and to ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability.
